Outstanding job John… hope I can get to the sale before its over

Damn … I watched the video and feel a little deflated. In my mind SalesBully falls far short of what I expected it to do.
I was watching the time clock on the video running down thinking, we are running out of time, surely there has to more to this.
Granted it is a good little script but from the hype leading up to this I did expect a lot more than what I saw on the video.
As it stands it’s limited to the type of site you can use it on, eg: It’s going to hard to use to promote affiliate products.
SalesBully is great to promote products like ….. SalesBully lol.

Just on a quick look at the video the big question for me is about time-zones. I would want to start selling at a time to suit the biggest market i.e USA but I’m in Australia.

Surely Sales Bully can be counter-productive if you have a product which isn’t selling like hot cakes and a visitor returns hours later to find the counter hasn’t moved? You can’t always be around yourself to generate fake orders. Is there something in the software to get round this?

You’ve both hit upon some of the hidden power in SalesBully. :-)

We’re in the EST time-zone, which is where a lot of my market is, so I left it there. But, if I was in Australia, and wanted to launch at 1PM EST, I would simply set the site to launch 14 hours ahead (or are you 10 hours behind?) . That is the beauty of the time-zone fun we’ve added into SalesBully. You can look like you’re anywhere in the world.

Ann, I don’t recommend using fake orders. Integrity is key. That moving number is designed for launches, but as long as it shows people have bought, it has done its job. It changing while people are there is icing on the cake.

We obviously wouldn’t want to start a site out showing that 0 copies have sold. One technique that I didn’t discuss is to not include that line for the first x copies and then include it when you have some sales to demonstrate social proof.  So, the early people wouldn’t see the quantity countdown when numbers are low, and later people would.

It takes only a few minutes to setup and can really help you launch.

I can’t remember if we actually showed that “1 smart marketer” had bought GoTryTHIS after the first sale or used a second squeeze page. In either case, these techniques helped us sell 1500 copies in a week. ;-)

Am I correct to assume SaleBully works best on your own info or software product and has limited or no application on affiliate or physical products?

We have several testers using SalesBully with physical products. It is designed to increase sales on any kind of product you are selling yourself.

For affiliate marketers, you can use all the SalesBully tactics on a presale page for an affiliate bonus, something that increases your conversion rates as an affiliate and builds your list.

The yellow “follow me” bar is a combination of SalesBully and a free script. We show you how to use them together. The copies remaining part is SalesBully of course!

Thanks for your reply John. I was the one asking if you could set up Sales Bully to make it look as though more orders were being placed than was actually the case. I really appreciate your candour as I was definitely planning to buy it but now you’ve made me realise it’s not what I hoped. Not, I hasten to add because I’m a dishonest person by nature, simply that the site I wanted it for doesn’t get enough traffic to use Sales Bully in the way you intended. Linking it to check-out and letting visitors see the true sales figures would be disastrous! You’ve given me a lot of very useful information and ideas I can use manually on the site in question, though (not the one linked here). Good luck with it all!

Thanks for the nice feedback. I love hearing that people are getting stuff from my ramblings that will help them in their business. ;-)

I focused on only a couple of parts of what the software does. I really will have to create another few videos that tell people how many other things it does that will help you make more money from smaller numbers of visitors… things that have nothing to do with quantity countdowns, which is just one of its features.

I can’t quite make out whether the web site is post ironic, or just plain horrible, but it didn’t matter because the techniques used - particularly the live ‘product left’ countdown - are amazingly effective. Even with 200+ left I still felt that overwhelming buying urge (fear of loss) because the remaining inventory was falling before my eyes in real time.

The important difference with other approaches is LIVE information and that undoubtedly is the killer app here. Looking forward to actually being to access and use Sales Bully.

Well even though I felt a little let down after watching the video and feeling there must be more to this than only what I saw in the pre-sales video I did actually go ahead and buy SalesBully.
Surprisingly it was the price that finally drew me in, it was much higher than I expected for what the software does that John demonstrated in the video so I figured there has more to Salesbully than that.
And sure enough I found that what is shown in the video is only a small part of Salesbully. This is more like it John, I can’t believe you didn’t even hint at the end of the video that way more was on offer.

It looks great but I’ve got one issue.

We’re doing a launch next week and I’d like to buy, install and test SB today but you mentioned delivery won’t be happeneing for about 1 week.

Is there any way of getting access sooner?

No, people won’t be able to get SalesBully early. We used this launch to do a big test of it and did find a few issues to correct.
