Why did you buy (or not buy) SalesBully?

Hi.

I need your help.

Everyone who posts to this blog with good feedback telling us why they did or didn’t buy SalesBully gets full access to a video where marketer Jeff Dedrik tells us the exact process they used in a very successful launch, how he quickly generated a huge list and how he then went on to make a small fortune every month from affiliate sales.

If you are one of the 300+ people who have bought SalesBully so far, please add a comment below and tell me why you bought it and what your initial plan was (or is) for using it, and also what you thought of the sales letter and emails so far.

If you haven’t bought SalesBully yet, please tell me why not, and I would really like to read what you thought of the sales letter, the product and the marketing as well.

Good or bad, I would like your feedback so that we can learn and improve our ability to get our products into the hands of people who will benefit from them.

I’ll be emailing everyone the link to the video individually, so please give me a few working days to get that email out to you.  This is a great video that sent me running for a notebook the moment it was over.

Thank you very much,
John.

Actually, I just wanted to check the price for SalesBully. But somehow I got bullied into buying it. It was really cool to see it in action. The principles are of course nothing new, but most of the the time they are not implemented. But what I liked most about SalesBully was that it made the product launch and buying process an “experience”, a “live event”. I think this is very powerful as attention spans get lower and lower. But this launch was different, it was actually fun to buy it. (And I am usually totally against consumerism, especially in the IM field.) Keep it up!

I bought it simply because it automates many processes I’ve had others custom program for me… not to mention the price point (which was far too low) and the simple setup, this is a no brainer.

Many people don’t realize the power of the phychlogical triggers in action here.

Hey John,

I bought Sales Bully initially on the accomplishments of your company. That’s just how it is. I use your product, “GoTryThis” everyday—literally. And to paraphrase Dorothy in
“Jerry Maguire” …

You had me at — Set Up Bot!!!

Now, as I warp thru the setup screens of Sales Bully, I realize that you and your team have made the process so easy that there is no rational reason not to use Sales Bully strategies on every web page that is attempting to elicit a response from anyone on any topic in any country on this green planet.

Hi John,

I purchased Sales Bully the first day you launched it at the discounted price. My first impressions of the site were great. You have taken a new approach and very interesting color scheme to stand out.

These days you need to do this to grab attention and it worked big time!!!

With all the big launches and huge courses being sold these days I thought for sure with everything Sales Bully promises this was going to be another very expensive piece of software.

To my surprise and relief Sales Bully was way cheaper than I thought it be. As a GoTryThis BlackHat customer I’m very pleased that your software is priced affordably and doesn’t use hype to push prices through the roof.

I had pretty much made up my mind that I was seriously interested in Sales Bully from the time I saw the pre-release videos. But when I saw the real time inventory counter following me down the page bullying me all the way down I knew from a marketing perspective I needed to have this.

***SIDENOTE*** After reaching the bottom of the page I clicked on the order button to see what you order form looked like. I already knew I was going to buy but I like to navigate around before I finalize my decision.

When I clicked the back button to return to the sales page, Sales Bully “laid the SMACK DOWN on me!” and took me to a 3 minute countdown page. Here I was, fully aware of the marketing tactics and psychological triggers being used on me and I was starting to get very nervous at the thought of losing out on the pre-release discount price.

That was enough “window shopping” for me. I immediately purchased Sale Bully and had a calming sense of relief that I had got in under the wire.

Congratulations John you have done your job well! I rarely feel so relieved about handing over money for a purchase.

I can’t wait to use Sales Bully to it’s full potential on my sites. I’m planning a mini-launch sale very soon I will let you know how it goes.

Cheers,
Dave

Great stuff John, I have a site that I am just starting to create digital products for. The physical products (herbs for horses and dogs) sell themselves because people love their animals, but the profit margin is very small compared to selling you own digital products. Psychology has always interested me and now is the time to put it to work. I like the style you use to incorporate all the triggers. I am also starting a membership site. I think these tactics will help to get the menmbership built much quicker.

I bought this software because I think it will help in my new career like internet marketer, I have not a website and I´m making my product, I don´t have any experience like marketer, but I have bought some ebooks and with this software I believe I´ll have a goot start in business.

John… I HATE YOU!

It’s really a bitter/sweet thing I have going on with SalesBully.

I feel like… I got “bullied” into buying it. And that bothers me.

Sseriously.

John, the ultra UNIQUE website graphics… color scheme… the… “you better buy now or loose-out on the biggest, best damn thing that can happen to your online business, at a price totally un-beatable” triggers and salescopy…

Come on… there were no doubts in my mind that I was going to order.

As a matter of fact. I was sold durring pre-launch… on the first visit to the landing page and I saw that crazy drawing… and it was etched-in-stone once I watched the video.

I think… NOT being able to buy it at that initial moment… and being forced to wait… made me want the damn thing even more.

On the flip side…

It made me feel like… Holy S_ _ _! I could have my website POWERED by this awesome technology… which means I too… could put every visitor into a decision making head-lock, ultimately forcing MORE of them to whip out their wallets and buy…

My greed-glands started to sweat… and I LOVE that!

John, YOU ROCK! Thanks for empowering me with the software and devilish sales-tactics that I’ll use EXPLODE my business.

Peace!

- J.C.

P.S. I don’t really hate you.

Well, maybe. (I haven’t figured that out yet.)

You see, here I am again at YOUR SITE (on your command)… giving you something… (my time and feed-back)… like I feel obligated because you hooked-me-up with your software… in exchange for this stupid video that I also feel compelled to watch.

John, I’m taking notes buddy! — I’m studying what you’ve done and what you’re doing to me… AND I WILL USE IT ON OTHERS IF I HAVE TO! — Actually… I already plan on doing so.

It’s that good.

I purchased this product to see if I can increase my conversion on some of my sites. It sure worked its magic when I purchased it. Will see if will do the same magic on others. I have a good feeling it will!. Thank you John for the magic.
E.C.

Hi,
I bought sales bully because I was impressed by the fact that although many marketers talk about using these strategies - I am not aware of anyone else who has created a script to make it happen automatically.
I am pretty impressed with the software.
I didn’t really love the ‘cartoon graphics’ or the colors, but I was impressed by the product.
All the best,
Kenny

I purchased Sales Bully on the very first version with the great intro price. Initially because I loved the idea, I’ve learned so much from everyone at Meeting with the Masters and your other products have been high quality/high value. We’re going to be using the software when we launch our new product webeditorplus.com thought the internet. Thought after reading the testimonies above and hearing how easy it is, we’re going to move it up and use it in our prelaunch. Thanks for taking the mystery out of internet marketing. All The Best!
Markus
Take control of your website…
www.WebEditorPlus.com

Where’s the second video where you show us how to transform an ordinary site into a Bully in ten minutes?

John –
I feel the same as some others here — “bullied” into buying this product, yet okay with it (even happy about it) at the same time! I initially saved your webpage to read offline later when I had some time, then when I opened it up for some leisurely perusing, the whole ad had changed to a tiny “We KNEW you’d be back to see if this worked!” blurb, with the countdown timer making me scramble to get my credit card now OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!
I’m new to online marketing, but not to sales in general. Like Dave G. above, I was aware of the tactics being used but was still helpless — had to order…
And I’m glad I did — this will be a wild ride!
Thanks for everything you do –
Dan

I bought Sales Bully because I loved GoTryThis and figured this was also going to be great. I have mostly done affiliate marketing but I have recently been coming out with my own products and knew this software would help me tremendously in achieving my sales goals ( although I have to admit I haven’t used it yet). When I do, I am confident it will greatly increase my conversions well above anything I could have done on my own.

Hi, John, you manipulator you…

I like your presentations on GoTryThis and Gateway Magic on .X.’s Black Book DVDs.

I really liked the way the SalesBully website looked. Once in a while I see something like that with hand drawn and scanned graphics and I keep telling myself I should do the same with my own artwork on my websites.

After I saw yours, I decided that it’s quite probable I will do the same on one of my next websites.

I didn’t get SalesBully because I just didn’t quite feel ready for it. I’m in a state of analysis/paralysis and I don’t have a product to use it with. While I suppose I could use it on affiliate promotions for bonuses I’m a little burned out on creating bonuses for affiliate products and am planning to try more direct linking type methods to see how that goes, in which case SalesBully wouldn’t help me I imagine. I definitely would want to use SalesBully otherwise, and if I bought it now even though it’s $177 until quantities run out, it would probably just sit on my hard drive for a while and I might even forget I had it.

After all, YOU did say not to buy it unless I use it, right?

I would have bought it a couple days after I first read the sales page for it. The very first time I left the page I got the 4 or 5 minute timer.

In my opinion, that would have been better for the next time when I revisit the website, not directly upon leaving. Because after thinking a day to two days I decided I would go for it, but I’d have to pay $120 more just because I wasn’t ready at that first moment.

So, that countdown would have been ideal when I came back the second time, not when I’m leaving.

I can appreciate the psychological tactics but I don’t like being bullied. I can see how it is effective though and that it is fitting to use its features on its very own sales page.

So, you lost a sale. I do understand, though that if some don’t buy because of the bullying those tactics can get more people to buy who wouldn’t otherwise, which is in your favor.

I understand this because about half a year ago I wrote my first book and I set it at $37 instead of something like $17 and I made it clear there weren’t even any refunds. Even if I sold twice as many books at $17 I still would have made less money, so, I do understand.

I hope one day I can do a $300,000 month (or was that week?) too. Actually, I’m listening to the Four Hour Work Week at this moment to help me get there.

Thanks and I wish you much success.

I am a go try this user and so when I saw this I knew I had to have it. I didn’t even totally understand what it did, and I knew I had to have it. Your blog leading up to the launch had me. I was out of town on the day of the pre-launch so I had to have a friend jump online and order it for me. I was so relieved when she called to let me know we got a copy.

One thing I would like is a link to the manual emailed to me.

THANKS!

I bought Sales Bully because my product is great - but, my sales conversion rate SUCKS. I feel bad about all the people missing out on the opportunity of using my product simply because I haven’t been able to effectively sell them on trying it out! Sales Bully will change all that!

Hi John

We’ve already shared emails but I thought it was important to post here too because I know I’m not the only one out here in this situation.

I really REALLY want to get SalesBully so, so badly but I can’t swing it right now. It really pisses me off too since there was the opportunity to get in on a GREAT price but with being a single mom and just starting out in IM it’s just not in the stars for me. I’ll keep watching you and everyone else and learn as much as I can. I’m DETERMINED that ONE day I TOO will be the one that says “I MADE A GAZILLION BUCKS AND HERE’S HOW I DID IT”.

Best to you and everyone else. I’ll see YOU, with ME, at the top of the list soon!!

Hi John,

I am a new in online marketing but have been marketing on Radio for the past 6 years and I know that some of the bullying techniques in this system work very well on Radio. So I knew most of this system would work for me too online. Hoping to be successful in marketing to a very different world here in MiddleEast.

Regards,
Adnan.

Hi

I’ve not bought this product yet on account of a number of products claiming to do the job. The only people making money are those selling product, however I’m not naive to think everyone is trying to rip off the newcommer, but I’ll be willing to try it if it meets my critera, i.e. Does it support CMS type systems and if so how easy is it to integrate.

Regards

Glen

Hi John,
I think Sales Bully is a great product with an incredibly easy to use interface (just like GTT). I did not buy because I bought SuperPageSplitter through your link earlier and although it is a great product like you said, Sales Bully looks like it is much easier to use. And the live countdown to this many left or this many bought rocks! I look forward to your new products!

Ted

I bought salesbully because I am offering a new product and want to offer the first 100 people a 50% disount on the price. Once that is gone, I want the rest to pay full price. So, salesbully seems to be able to do that and many other things.

Later
Mike

Hi John,

you got me during the prelaunch also. :-)
I knew of the fact of emotional and certain “psycho” triggers which makes people buy. I have used the trigger “fear of loss” way to less as I figured out when I read your other blog posts.

However I know that your products are all Good (also have GTT), so I knew SalesBully will be another important weapon in my internet marketing arsenal.

So far I like SB. Thanks for the programm John, I now do not have to use my own scripts I developed for ceratin cookie tracking anymore. Your Salesbully is way more powerfull.

http://www.woprot.com - WordPress Manager -> will be the next page where I will install and use SalesBully on. Damn the conversion rate will be even better then, I am very excited.

Cheers and till soon
Anthony

The “triggers” just “Reeled” me in (pun intended)… I could not resist. Marketing at its best John.

Andrew

I brought GoTryThis and to me this was a ‘no-brainer’, considering the multitude of marketing tactics this tool wields.

I got salesbully because there was no software which could handle oto’s, timers, and salespages so dynamically. In fact, I put off buying oto software as almost all were very unflexible at helping to optimize the buying process.

Salesbully simply does a fantastic job… and I’m real glad I got a copy. Well done John,

-Riggie

Glen:

SalesBully has been designed to not interfere with other products. You could put a countdown timer on your blog if you could think of an appropriate reason to do so.

It’s very easy to use and setup and to integrate into pages that have other systems on it. Give it a try and you have 30 days to try it out and get a refund if it isn’t working for you.

We’re not gurus. We’re software developers trying to make people software to improve their business. We build this stuff to help ourselves too, so we go all out. That’s why we get so many testimonials from our users.

Thannk you,
John.

I bought it because I needed a onetime offer script and this had so much more that I could use as well. Getting it was a no-brainer.

I bought Sales Bully because it presents an incredibly focused channel through the sales process that you can manage and control. I don’t have my own product yet, however, I see how SB will help me increase sales when I do have it. Yes, SB is tough and some readers will be totally turned off and click away, however those aren’t the readers you’re trying to convert. I have a romantic gift site and noticed that a few items on a popular vendor’s site tend to sell out quickly. They do get replaced but maybe not in time to give that particular gift. I placed those items at the top with a note about how these items sell out quickly and you might not be able to purchase the gift you want on time. That did it. Sales conversions rose enormously.

When people have time to think (or think they have time to buy)–they DON’T buy. People buy on an emotion that they back up with logic. I feel that Sales Bully, combined with the right product, will help shoot up conversions. SB is not a magic bullet all by itself, but used properly, will make any IM’s life easier–and much more profitable!

Hi John,
I liked the nutty colour scheme and graphics you used on the site.

That caught my attention. The fact you have given good service with GoTryThis, which I use daily, kept me interested. And the fact that SB did a nice job of integrating timers, scarcity, and linked one-time offers, sold me.

Cheers,
Peter

I purchased Sales Bully because it looks like it will work, I tended to believe the promos and I wanted an easier way to get a product online successfully.

As a purchaser of GoTryThis which is a quality piece of software, SalesBully was an easy sell. No need to twist my arm.

Hi John,

I’ve bought SalesBully for a couple of reasons. First of all you seem like a sincere and hard core software programmer who’s only concern is to make great products that work for YOU.

And if it works for you, it’s good enough for me!

I really liked the salespage because it’s different from all the other products being sold on the Internet nowadays. It really stood out with all the entertaining graphics. And I admire your bravery to create a page like this and going against the grain.

But most importantly the facts mentioned on the salespage convinced me plus the added effect of seeing SalesBully in action. Not to mention that at the moment I’m preparing a product launch.

It would be downright stupid not incorporate SalesBuly to increase my sales!

BTW I immediately bought GoTryThis White-Hat too!

Keep up the good work.

Paul

I watched video #1 Cool! Then the second video, and then decided to buy at $189. So unplugged my headphones from listening to take action and in doing so managed to freeze my PC. So rebooted and went back … but sadly, that price was gone.

You’re just a big bully :-)

Jonathan

I found salesbully to be very interesting. The tactics in use as well as being told what tactics they were being used on me and them still being effective flipped a powerful switch inside of me.

I definitely plan to buy salesbully just didn’t have the money at the time. The videos could be higher up on the page because they were hard to find when grabbing the scroll bar on the side of the browser.

Also another light bulb went on when you said to use the positive and negative reinforcement. Many are using the make more money, have more sex, have a bigger johnson mantra. Your integration of scarcity, time limits, a bar that scrolls with the browser counting down, and the number of copies counting down without hitting the refresh button is very powerful.

The software looks excellent and I look forward to buying it. Obviously, you did an outstanding job because even though I didn’t have the money to purchase right away I have kept up with your site, been a repeat visitor and it is my top software to acquire once funds are available.

Thanks John,

Alexander

John: I have commented before on the great job you have done with this product and the outstanding sales page…great copy, great graphic design, great technology.
The thing that caused me to buy was opening a second copy of your pre-launch page from the email with another copy open in FireFox. I got the “so you are testing me…” message and the four minute timer. I thought that was great and it closed the sale. I did not know if I could go back to the other open page and buy at the reduced price. By that time I had decided to buy but that was the trigger to take action.

You had me at ‘GoTryThis’ :)

I wasn’t going to get it because you can do most of the stuff manually.

But a friend let me play around with copy and I’ve decided that it’s an essential piece of kit. In fact, I have used it 15 times since I got it two days ago.

**You can’t live without it if you sell stuff online**

It automates many of the conversion tactics I wrote about in the Multiplier Method book.

Cheers,
Brent

Something to say?
